Khadi Herbal Conditioner – Orange Lemongrass

Hello Everyone!

I got this conditioner during my last visit to Khadi Bhandar. I had not used a lot of Khadi products before, with the exception of soaps. But this time I ended up getting a lot of stuff. Some of them worked for me, while the others did not. Read on to find out how Khadi Herbal Conditioner Orange Lemongrass fared for me.

Khadi Herbal Conditioner Orange Lemongrass

Price:

Rs. 120 for 210ml.

Product Claims:

Khadi Orange Lemongrass Hair Conditioner is a wonderful moisturizer that revitalizes and strengthens damaged hair.

Ingredients:

Orange Oil, Bergamot Oil, Lemongrass Oil, Aloe Vera, Centellaasiatica Brahmi, Glycerine, Citrus Limon (Lemon), Conditioner Base QS.

Khadi Herbal Conditioner Orange Lemongrass 2

My Experience with Khadi Herbal Conditioner- Orange Lemongrass:

The conditioner comes in the usual Khadi bottle, transparent with a black cap that has a nozzle. The product is off-white in colour. It smells like a Satreetha shampoo that I’ve used in the past, maybe even a chayvanparsh. I don’t know if I like the smell or hate it. The consistency of the conditioner is like that of a normal conditioner, neither too thick nor too runny. It’s a bit silky to touch. I used it with a Khadi shampoo that I had recently bought. My hair felt frizzy and scratchy. No conditioning at all. Then I tried it with my Organic Surge shampoo and my hair felt silky and smooth. So, basically it does nothing for your hair. I don’t know what else to say. I am done with Khadi products, at least the hair care products. My hair is better off with without any conditioner than this particular one.

Khadi Herbal Conditioner Orange Lemongrass 3

Pros of Khadi Herbal Conditioner- Orange Lemongrass:

• Cost effective.

Cons of Khadi Herbal Conditioner- Orange Lemongrass:

• No conditioning action at all.

How To Hide Big Ears

Big ears can be an issue and a cause of worry for many.  There’s no need for surgical help when the hair styling industry offers so many options to camouflage our flaws.  You can either choose to hide or disguise.

How+To+Hide+Big+Ears

To hide is simple, grow your hair long and avoid wearing your hair up or tucking behind it your ears.  Choosing the best haircut is the key to feel confident about your look.  If you can’t decide on a haircut, layers is the answer, ladies. Curling can also be a method to make the ears hard to spot.  Remember there’s no need to look like a doll to look gorgeous. Keep the hairdo neat and natural. You need to find out more on the hairdos that were designed to hide big ears.

How To Hide Big Ears 2

You can fake fullness of your hair with a smart blow drying technique. Start drying your hair with the use of rollers that will ensure the thickness of the strands. Increase the volume of the hair leaving these on until the hair is almost dry, then shape the curls according to your preferences.

How To Hide Big Ears 3

Those who sport super sleek straight hair should use straightener to create arcs that will enhance the texture of the hair. You can even create waves with this hot tool.  Disguising takes a little more thought.

1) Wear large earrings as this will make your ears look relatively smaller.
2) Wear interesting and statement hair accessories and bands as this will draw attention away from ears and highlight your preferred assets such as your hair.
3) Match earrings to your eye colour to draw attention towards your eyes.
4) Try wearing makeup. It makes your face and eyes more interesting and impressive, meaning people won’t think of looking at your ears.
5) Try wearing over-sized sunglasses that are slightly wider than your face to minimize ears.
6) During winters, slip on ear warmers or a fleece headband or even beanie hats.

How To Hide Big Ears 4

7) Hats are great and stylish way to disguise your perfect imperfection.

How To Hide Big Ears 5

8) And last but not the least, put on a BIG smile and be confident to take focus away from your ears. A positive attitude about your ears can dramatically shift your sense of self.

Celebrities as Kate Hudson and Jennifer Garner are some of the prominent figures who also share your worries.

Hope I could be of help. Stay beautiful and be fearless.

Veet Hair Removal Cream for Dry Skin

Hi IMBB

This is my review about Veet hair removal cream for dry skin with shea butter and lily fragrance.I have always been obsessed with shaving my body hair than using any other methods ,because with waxing I have always ended up with rashes and decided never to try waxing on my body in the future and stick to shaving, but on my friends recommendation I bought this hair removal cream for my arms and lets see how it worked on me.

Veet Hair Removal cream for dry skin

If needed, leave the cream on for a bit longer but not more than 6 minutes.Rinse skin thoroughly with water after use and pat dry gently.

Veet hair removal cream for dry skin (1)

My take on Veet Hair Removal Cream for Dry Skin:

The cream comes in a green colored pretty tube with a twist open green cap, which is very girly and cute. The product is white in color & smells faintly of Lily and of course lot of chemical smell[the smell is mild and tolerable].I took a generous amount of cream with the spatula provided and applied it on legs[ this small tube is not sufficient for 2 whole legs] and left it on for 3 minutes as they said, and did try to remove the cream of a small area after 3 minutes ,I could see no hair removal, I thought my hair is not still ready for removal and left on the cream on skin for another 3 minutes. Now after 6 minutes I felt my hair is ready to be removed,so cleared the hair with spatula and rinsed my skin thoroughly. My skin felt soft, smooth, and moist.I feel the dry skin claim is so true because my skin did not feel stretched or dry,and I am happy with the results.

Veet hair removal cream for dry skin (5)
Now summing up Pros and Cons of Veet hair removal cream for dry skin:

Pros of Veet Hair Removal Cream for Dry Skin:

  • Effective in hair removal
  • Smell is not bothersome
  • Claim for dry skin is true, keeps skin moist and soft

Cons of Veet Hair Removal Cream for Dry Skin:

Quantity is not sufficient for one complete usage.
Some may not like using a cream completely laden with chemicals.

Would I recommend Veet hair removal cream for dry skin?

Yes!

Banjara’s Nutress Hair Protein Pack Review

Hi,

It has been more than a month since I wrote here.  I got married this month and shifted to Bahrain within two weeks.  So, it was really hectic, but I never missed to check out the posts on IMBB every day.My skin and hair has started behaving weirdly after coming here.  My super oily skin is having dry patches now and the water is causing severe hair fall.  I am reviewing today Banjara’s Nutress Hair Protein Pack.

Banjara’s+Nutress+Hair+Protein+Pack+Review

Product Description:

Banjaras nutress hair protein pack is the answer to your damaged hair. It contains deep penetrating formula made from organic proteins, which helps in normalizing extremely damaged hair.It also protects dry hair and scalp.  Sometimes over exposure to chemicals make your hair porous and leaves you with very little hair.  Nutress hair protein helps strengthen and helps your damaged hair reconstruct.

Directions For Use:

Mix the required quantity as per your hair length with water or yogurt and add a few drops of lime.  Blend well and apply it on your scalp.  Use it on a daily basis to get rid of dandruff completely.

Price:

Rs. 80/150 gm.

Banjara’s Nutress Hair Protein Pack 2

My Experience with Banjara’s Nutress Hair Protein Pack:

I have just tried two products from this brand and I don’t know when I will start liking the brand :P Just when I had decided to stop using this brand, one of my friend gave me this hair pack to try as I was facing hair fall.  Firstly,I wanted to check the ingredients and started searching all around the pack. It was not mentioned anywhere !! I was shocked. Usually, Banjara’s specifies only the key ingredients which I don’t like about the brand and now there is no ingredients list.  I was really skeptical, but gave it a try.

The pack comes in a huge quantity which must be shifted to an air-tight container.  I have long, jet black hair, which is quite dry.  I mixed the powder with yogurt and water to make a thick paste. The powder is finely milled, so it would not be difficult to remove the pack.

Banjara’s Nutress Hair Protein Pack 3

I kept the pack for 1 hour and washed it using Tresemme Hair Fall Defense Shampoo and skipped the conditioner to check how the pack works.  My hair was soft enough, but I convinced myself that it might be due to the yogurt and not the pack :P I felt that better results can be obtained by homemade packs with methi, curry leaves, etc.  I stopped using it as I don’t know the ingredients present and now I continue to use the homemade packs which is potent enough.

Pros of Banjara’s Nutress Hair Protein Pack:

  • Affordable.
  • Easy to rinse off.

Cons of Banjara’s Nutress Hair Protein Pack:

  • Ingredient list missing.
  • Poor packaging.
  • Does nothing impressive.
  • Can be quite messy.

Will I Recommend Banjara’s Nutress Hair Protein Pack?

No.

IMBB Rating:

1/5.

There are quite good hair packs out there in the market and homemade packs work much better than this. So, skip this.

FabIndia Rejuvenating Hair Oil Review

Hi IMBB,

This review is about Fabindia Rejuvenating Hair Oil. I am always obsessed about oils whether it is for my hair or body. This oil is from Fabindia and my second bottle as well, so without a second thought, I bought this immediately. First bottle was taken by maasi when she saw such a huge difference in my hair growth and shine. It has made my hair healthy, black, and manageable. I am sure when you are going to read its ingredient list, you will go gaga for this. Let’s read a detailed review of this product:

FabIndia+Rejuvenating+Hair+Oil+Review

Price:

450 INR for 200 ml (I bought this on 40% sale).

Ingredients:

Coconut oil, Sesame oil, Bhringaraj Extract, Amla, Extract, Shikha Extract, MethiExtract, Ashwagandha Extract, Brahmi Extract, Tulsi Oil, Tea Tree oil, Vitamin E Acetate.

FabIndia Rejuvenating Hair Oil 2

Directions For Use:

Apply to scalp and massage. Leave on for at least one hour before shampooing. No added colour or fragrance.

Product Description:

Enriched with coconut oil and fusion of herbs like amla and Brahmi, this hair oil rejuvenated the roots and gives hair a natural sheen.
I would list down benefits of ingredient which are available in this oil.

  • Coconut Oil- Its one of the best content for natural hair growth. It replaces the natural oils which hair looses on a regular basis.
  • Sesame Oil- It gives dark lustrous hair. It’s highly nourishing and is excellent for dry scalp treatment. Massaging in the scalp will control dryness and flakiness, thus, helping in hair loss prevention. Sesame oil is also known as natural healing oil, as it is full of antibacterial properties. It will help clear scalp infection, especially fungal. Sesame oil helps strengthen the hair shafts and roots of the hair by nourishing it. It promotes new hair growth, controls split ends and hair prone to breakage and brittleness.
  • Bhringraj extract is the best known herb for preventing balding and premature graying.
  • Amla extract is vitamin, mineral and protein rich, so a super food for the hair and scalp. Amla gently increases blood flow and along with the nutrients this stimulates hair growth and preventing hair loss. It strengthens the hair follicles which stops the hair from falling out. Stronger follicles make for stronger, healthier hair, which greatly reduces breakage. The result is rich, thick, healthy, luxurious hair.
  • Shikakai extract is astringent in nature and with a low pH, it creates a favorable pH-balanced environment in the scalp that fights dandruff and other infections. It’s rich in vitamins such as vitamin C, vitamin D and other micronutrients, and nourishes the hair follicles to promote hair growth.
  • Methi extract is rich in vitamin E. It helps hair grow, preserves natural color, keeps hair silky and also cures dandruff.
  • Ashwagandha extract has conditioning properties.
  • Brahmi extract was used from olden days to enhance hair growth.
  • Tulsi oil is used for itchy scalp.
  • Tea Tree Oil controls dandruff.
  • Vitamin E acetate has been known to help with the growth of hair as well as preventing hair loss.

FabIndia Rejuvenating Hair Oil 4

My Experience with FabIndia Rejuvenating Hair Oil:

This is the best oil I have ever come across. I used to normally make oil at home using coconut oil, sesame oil, olive oil, castor oil, almond oil and Vitamin E.  So, when I saw this rejuvenating hair oil at Fab India, with similar constituents, I got it without giving it a second thought and I can surely say that this was a good buy. The oil comes in a regular Fab India packing. Consistency of oil is not very thick and not too thin. The oil is light green in color and smells pleasantly of herbs.

FabIndia Rejuvenating Hair Oil 5

I apply this oil twice in a week, leave it overnight and wash off in the morning. I generally use a non-conditioning shampoo to wash my hair and then apply a rinse-off conditioner, but while using this oil, I don’t feel there is a need of any conditioner.  This is my second bottle and simply loving it. This oil has made my hair so soft, shiny, smooth and manageable. The oil had provided me with protein rich therapy which made my hair look stronger and smoother. It gave a really nice sheen to my hair. I simply love this oil.

FabIndia Rejuvenating Hair Oil 8

Pros of FabIndia Rejuvenating Hair Oil:

  • FabIndia products are easily available.
  • My hair feels smooth, shiny after using this.
  • Lasts long.
  • Smell in the oil is not at all over powering.
  • The hair oil has all the beneficial herbs for hair.

Neha

Cons of FabIndia Rejuvenating Hair Oil:

  • A bit on the expensive side, but who cares if it works well.

Do I Recommend FabIndia Rejuvenating Hair Oil?

Of course yes.

L’Oreal Paris Eversleek Shampoo (1)

How to use:

Apply shampoo to wet hair and gently massage for a soft lather. Rinse well.

My experience with L’Oreal Paris Eversleek shampoo:

I have been using The Body shop rainforest shampoo for like 2 years and I was so bored with it. Thus when I saw this sulphate and silicon free shampoo by L’Oreal Paris I just picked it up without giving any second thought. The shampoo comes in white medium thick consistency. I regret buying this shampoo to the core my heart. This shampoo does opposites to whatever it mentions in its claims. It made my hair so rough and dry- I had a notion that I will be left with no hair on my head. I was like literally scolding myself that why did I had to buy this stupid shampoo that does nothing good to my hair *headbang*. Okay it clears scalp in 2 washes and has mild smell but the after effects are really scary. The hair tangles like really bad and thus loses like hell. Then when it dries off you are left with bird’s nest on your head-I mean who says it will tame frizzes instead it made my hair more fizzy and so dry (I am mourning every hair that fall  *cry*). This shampoo does not respect your hair fibers and treats them really bad. I can’t say enough just that this is the worst SLS free shampoo and don’t even look at it when you see it in the market. *spank*

Loreal Paris Eversleek Shampoo

Pros of L’Oreal Paris Eversleek Shampoo:

• Pleasant smell
• Sulphate silicon free
• Has goodness of sunflower oil
• Good travel free packaging
• Clear scalps in two washes.

Cons of L’Oreal Paris Eversleek shampoo:

• Makes hair really rough and dry
• Causes more frizzes
• Hair tangles and thus hair fall occurs
L’Oreal Paris Eversleek Shampoo (4)

IMBB Rating:

1/5

Do I recommend L’Oreal Paris eversleek shampoo?

No at all. Hate this shampoo *devil*

Nair Hair Remover Sensitive Formula Gel Cream

Hello sweethearts,

Here is one more hair remover from my collection. I read a review about this brand on IMBB so I wanted to try this myself. I spotted this at the beauty shop and my Anne French kit that I bought was already over so I picked this one up to keep it to be on the safe side. Rather than getting those kits I decided to get a spray as I thought this would be more convenient.

Nair Hair Remover Sensitive Formula Gel Cream

Price:

Rs. 230 for 155 grams

Product description:

Nair hair remover sensitive formula is designed for smooth radiant skin. It is for legs, arms, underarms and bikini area. Not for use on the face.

Nair Hair Remover Sensitive Formula Gel Cream (5)

Directions for use:

To apply gel cream

• Dispense gel cream into palm of hand. Smooth on a thick even layer to cover hair. Do not rub in. Wash your hands immediately after application.
• Leave the gel cream for 3 minutes, then check a small area for hair removal. Total hair removal depends on hair thickness. If the hair does not wipe off easily after 3 minutes, leave the gel cream on a few minutes longer. Do not exceed 10 minutes of application.
To remove gel cream and hair
• Gently wipe off the gel cream and hair with a damp washcloth. Do not rub. Once all hair has been removed, rinse skin thoroughly with lukewarm water in the shower.
• Wipe off excess product from the dispensing nozzle
• Replace the cap when not in use

Nair Hair Remover Sensitive Formula Gel Cream (4)

My take on Nair hair remover sensitive formula gel cream:

I initially thought of trying something different from those hair remover creams that come in a tube. This hair remover gel cream comes in a spray bottle that is blue in colour and is very travel friendly and the cap also doesn’t come off the bottle so no worry of leakage at all. The whole lot of instructions are given behind the bottle so you know what exactly to do. You just open the cap there you get a dispensing nozzle. I thought that this would be very convenient to use but it was not. When you have a spatula you can spread the cream very evenly and in this case firstly when you press the dispenser, a lot of quantity comes out which might not even be needed for 1 underarm and this cannot be even evenly distributed with the fingers. It may happen that there is more cream on some part and less on some. Then you will have to ruin your fingers and as I have long nails it goes inside and sits there. Then immediately instructed to wash hands and then cleaning the nails.

Nair Hair Remover Sensitive Formula Gel Cream (3)

The cream is thick is consistency and easy to spread on the hands. The smell is refreshing as well as connects to the spring essence they mention. It does not smell like those typical hair removal creams. I kept it on for like 6-7 minutes even if they said 3 minutes. And I washed off my hands and legs with a sponge. But what I could see is there were still some hair on my hands and legs which had not been removed effectively. Some of the hair has become twisted and curly because they just got half the reaction of hair removal. Like that I had to reapply the cream and a lot of product was wasted. My hands and legs felt smooth and not at all dry. They did look radiant but you know that hair on the legs are quite thick as compared to the hands. In this case, it left small black hair from the roots which look like the ingrown hair and you don’t actually get a clean waxed feeling because you can see those small hair peeping out and I couldn’t even wax them because they were very small. Overall I would that it is a good one as if kept for 10 minutes but if you remove it less than this time then you will not get the desired results but I can say I have used better products than this one.

Nair Hair Remover Sensitive Formula Gel Cream (6)

Pros of Nair Hair Remover Sensitive Formula Gel Cream :

-Affordable for such a big bottle
-Did not cause irritation
-Did not make my skin dark
-Refreshing fresh smell
-Great for sensitive skin which will not cause rashes or bumps on the skin.
-Hair did not grow for 2-3 days, then it started growing later.

Nair Hair Remover Sensitive Formula Gel Cream (1)

Cons of Nair Hair Remover Sensitive Formula Gel Cream :

-Nozzle gives out too much product.
-Availability.
-Fingers are to be ruined while applying this.
-Gets stuck inside my nails.
-Did not remove all the hair in 6-7 minutes even when it claimed just 3 minutes.
-Uneven distribution.
-Some hair were not at all removed and looked like ingrown hair.

Will I repurchase/recommend Nair Hair Remover Sensitive Formula Gel Cream?

No I don’t think so because there are many more products that are convenient to use like the Anne French kit that I reviewed and will not buy it again, I will just try finishing this up.

30 Beautiful and Trendy Bridal Hairstyles

The wedding season is on!  From Indian Bridal Week to Indian Jewellery Week, everyone’s talking about wedding and marriages this season.  The bridal grooming session begins months before the D-day and with multiple rounds of trials, the bride selects her dresses, makeup, and hairstyle.  It is important that the would-be bride opt for hairstyles that would enhance her features and make her the center of all attention.  I have seen many brides whose looks got completely ruined because of their not-so-good hairstyle, therefore it is important that you pick the hairstyle that would suit you the best, days before the wedding.  Also, its important that your hair is in good condition for the D-day, intake food rich in protein, eat healthy, go for regular oil massages and hair spa, and if you are experimenting with a new haircut, do it at least a month before or wait until your wedding is over.  Also, as far as it is possible, don’t experiment with new hair care products because there is a risk of hair fall.  Experimenting with hair color is a big no-no.  Here’s a post you can check out that will help you in choosing a hairstyle according to the shape of your face.  You obviously would not want to sulk all the days leading up to the wedding about a bad haircut.  Here’s a DIY hair spa that I digged out from IMBB for you.  Somreeta details out easy hair care tips for brides-to-be here.  Hair accessories and statement hair jewellery jazzes up even the simplest of hairstyles, go for it!

I have collected 30 of the most trendy bridal hairstyles that you can opt for – not restricted to Indian style wedding – since our brides today are willing to experiment – its not appropriate to restrict hairstyles to puffy high buns only for Indian brides.

Let’s check out some hairstyles:

Pantene Total Damage Care Conditioner Review

Hey everyone,

Today’s pick is the Pantene Total Damage Care Conditioner that I picked along with the shampoo from the same range.

Pantene+Total+Damage+Care+Conditioner+Review

Product Description:

Pantene Total Damage Care Conditioner helps repair severely damaged hair.

Price:

INR 59 for 75 ml.

Shelf Life:

3 years.

Ingredients:

Pantene Total Damage Care Conditioner 2

My Experience with Pantene Total Damage Care Conditioner:

The conditioner comes in an inverted bottle with a golden flip open cap. The bottle is travel friendly and the product won’t spill out. The conditioner is creamy and light and spreads easily on the hair. It smells typically of Pantene products.

Pantene Total Damage Care Conditioner 3

As far as the shampoo goes, I hated it because it caused hair fall, but this conditioner worked just fine. It smoothed out my hair ends and my hair felt soft and manageable after the wash. I could easily run my fingers through my hair. It rinsed out easily without using loads of water.

Pantene Total Damage Care Conditioner 4

One has to be careful with the quantity to be used. As the shampoo itself is moisturizing in nature, even if a little extra of the conditioner is used, it might weigh down the hair. I have tried this conditioner along with a shampoo apart from Pantene and it did equally good. Since I have switched onto chemical-free products, the major flaw that I find in this product is that it is loaded with chemicals.

Pantene Total Damage Care Conditioner 5

Pros of Pantene Total Damage Care Conditioner:

  • Smoothed out the ends.
  • Hair was soft and manageable.
  • Smells decent (typical Pantene smell).
  • Inexpensive.
  • Travel-friendly packaging.

Cons of Pantene Total Damage Care Conditioner:

  • A little extra might weigh down your hair.
  • Loaded with chemicals.

Final Verdict:

This conditioner works better than the shampoo at least for me. I am not going to repurchase this as it didn’t do anything extraordinary. If you like Pantene products, you might as well give this conditioner a try.

Rosemary Hair Tonic and Conditioner For Hair Growth

By Aaditi Joshi

Hello Beauties,

I am in love with rosemary after using rosemary leave-in conditioner, so this post is all about rosemary.  This powerful herb has been used as a hair treatment since ancient times. Today, there are many expensive hair treatment products available in market which contains Rosemary, but I am going to share my simple recipe of leave-in rosemary conditioner here.

My hair type:  I have natural black wavy hair.

Story behind making this conditioner at home:

I personally don’t like to use conditioner after each hair, but as we all know conditioning is essential to keep hair healthy.  Also, I was dealing with hair fall problem last year and had already tried a bunch of hair treatment products, so I finally decided to try some home remedies for my hair.  This leave-in conditioner is one of them. It saved my hair and improved my hair condition.

Rosemary+Hair+Tonic+and+Conditioner+For+Hair+Growths

Tip: You may want to drink rosemary tea everyday for a month and see improvement in hair growth if you are suffering from severe hair fall.

So, let’s start with the process of making rosemary leave-in conditioner:

We would need dried rosemary leaves/freshleaves/Rosemary Oil (anything which is available), 3 Cups of Water, Empty Spray Bottle.

Method:

1. Boil 3 cups of water in a pan.

Rosemary Hair Tonic 2

2. Add dried or fresh rosemary leaves into boiling water for another 2 minutes.  Now, the water would start changing its color to dark brown. Turn off the gas and let the rosemary seep for a few hours, let it cool down completely.

Rosemary Hair Tonic 3

3. Strain the rosemary water into a spray bottle. I like to add a few drops (almost 4-5) of rosemary oil into bottle with rosemary water, but it is optional.

Rosemary Hair Tonic 4

Rosemary Hair Tonic 5

Rosemary Hair Tonic 8

4. Don’t forget to shake the bottle before each use.

Benefits of Rosemary Hair Tonic and Conditioner For Hair Growth:

  • Rosemary leaves/Rosemary oil is easily available.
  • It makes your hair soft and shiny with regular use.
  • Stimulates hair follicles which results in faster hair growth.
  • Strengthens hair.
  • Fights against dandruff, itchy and flaky scalp.
  • Homemade simple recipe.
  • Very inexpensive compared to other rosemary hair treatment products available in the market.

Cons of Rosemary Hair Tonic and Conditioner For Hair Growth:

  • Strong smell.  I like this minty smell but with all these benefits, you have to ignore the smell even if you don’t like it and the smell doesn’t last in your hair for long.

Precautions and Warnings:

Stay away from rosemary if you are pregnant or breast feeding or if you are suffering from high blood pressure.  Large intake of rosemary can cause vomiting, uterine bleeding, kidney irritation, Increased sun sensitivity, skin redness and allergic reactions.

How To Use Rosemary Hair Tonic and Conditioner:

  • Just spray this leave-in conditioner to your hair from roots to tip after each hair wash (2 to 3 times in a week).

I highly recommend this conditioner even if you don’t suffer from hair fall/hair loss because it improves hair condition and with each use.

By Simran Johal

Hii IMBB

I am an ardent reader of IMBB from the past six months and this is my first post.I am very happy. Today I will be reviewing 2 in 1 Remington Salon Pro.This product was gifted to me when my cousin came to visit me from Australia, this January. A single product does so much  ).Before buying a straightener or curler always look for the material of the plates. This comes with titanium coated plates, which makes it a wonderful product. It has mirror smooth surface;that much silvery that I can see my face into it.

The benefit of titanium coated plates are it provides quick heating and maintains its heat evenly,as a result it fastens the process and I don’t get ending up with sore arms. The titanium coated plates are best for thick and curly hair, more over they impart negative ions to your hairs, the healthier the hair shaft. They are corrosion resistant so no cracks so less chances of getting damage and frizzy hair as hair will not get stuck into it.

  •  Irritating pointed tip .
  • These are only cons I can think of.

Kérastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique

Hello Pretty Ladies !!

Today I am going to review a product from Kerastase, which I came across almost a month back. I have used their cimentthermique, which was probably my first Kerastase product. I really wanted to buy the Kerastase Elixir Ultime as Rati di had raved about it. So, I had to try it! :P
I was selecting the product online and my mom asked me to pick up the Nectar thermique as well. I was more than happy to shop more Kerastase because I had really loved using the cimentthermique and I have never heard bad reviews about anything from this brand.

Kérastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique

Description:

Kérastase Nectar Thermique is a rich nourishing cream with a thermo-protective heat-activated ingredient. Sealing in softness to the hair fibre it helps protect dry to very dry hair from thermal styling leaving it soft, silky, hydrated and manageable.

Kérastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique (3)

Nectar Thermique from Kérastase is ideal for dry to very dry hair. This new haircare treatment will become indispensable when heat-styling dry hair. Formulated with royal jelly which contains essential elements to nourish the hair and the thermo-protective ingredient, xylose that protects the hair fibre from the drying effects of heat-styling it intensely nourishes and protects, resulting in soft, smooth, shiny hair.

Kérastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique (4)

Nectar Thermique facilitates styling, resulting in a quicker and smoother blow-dry and leaving hair with supreme shine from root to tip, and feeling beautifully supple.

Kérastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique (6)

Directions:

Towel-dry your clean, wet hair.
Apply a small amount of Nectar Thermique to the lengths and ends.
Gently massage through the lengths and ends, paying particular attention to the driest areas.
Detangle using a wide-toothed comb, starting with the ends, then gradually moving upwards towards the roots. Do not rinse.

Ingredients:

Royal jelly (a natural extract, protects hair); gluco-sleek (proprietary complex with xylose, UV filters, and guar gum, also protects hair)

Price:1800 INR for 150 ml.

My experience with Kérastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique :

It comes in a sturdy tube like packaging. It has a pearly finish, which looks really cool. I like how it is orange and white, gives a nice pop of colour on your vanity. It smells kind of sweet, floral unlike ciment, which had kind of citrus smell to it. The product is meant for dry hair, and like most of the girls with wavy-curly hair type, my hair tends to go dry if I do not add any product. I have now used the product for over a month now, and oh boy, I am loving it. Your hair feels really conditioned and hydrated as if you just did some kind of a deep conditioning treatment. You need only a small pea sized amount if you have long hair. If you use more, your hair might end up getting sticky. I use it when I am freshly out of shower and apply it on my hair except for the roots. On dry hair it doesn’t really give as great results.

Kérastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique and elixir
So it makes your hair feel like silk and I am not even kidding. Your hair will feel so soft you’d want to go over and touch again. I love the smoothness it imparts and the visible shine, which I absolutely am a fan of.
This has completely changed my blow-drying experience, my hair dries out smooth and the waves look really defined and definitely the frizz is controlled to a very great extent. I don’t have to put another product to tame the frizz. It has improved the hydration status of the ends of my hair I feel. This product actually makes the heat work for the long-term advantage of your hair. :)

Pros of Kérastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique :

1. Convenient packaging
2. Best heat protectant I have tried so far
3. A multitasking product which protects from heat and nourishes your hair as well
4. Controls frizz and fly aways
5. On continued usage, improves the quality of ends of your hair, they don’t appear as dry.
6. You don’t have to use a ton of products on your hair, which at times can be cumbersome.
7. Good value for money, considering the amount of product required per usage, this is going to last pretty long time.
8. Easily available online and in salons.

Kérastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique (1)

Cons of Kérastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique

1. Can make you hair feel sticky if you use too much. But oh well, that’s not really a con is it? :P

Top Secrets For Long Thick and Shiny Hair

By Mahek Sood

Most of us think that long and lustrous hair is hereditary, i.e., if their previous generations have had thick, long and shiny hair, it can be passed through genes to future generations.  I won’t say that it is a myth, but I won’t even say that it is completely true.  Hair if given a little extra care along with better diet, and right handling and maintenance, can give you amazing results. They can grow long, thick and shiny if the following tips are followed.

Top+Secrets+For+Long+Thick+and+Shiny+Hair

1. Oil your hair once a week with castor, almond, and olive oil.

Castor, almond and olive oil are best food for hair. Castor is good for re-growth of hair, almonds oil has vitamin E which nourishes the hair and gives sheen to it and olive gives body and volume to hair and helps it grow faster.

Olive Oil

How To Do:

  • Take 2 tablespoons of olive oil and microwave it for 15 seconds.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of castor oil and 1 tablespoon of almond oil.

Apply the above mixture into the roots and tip of hair and massage it so it penetrates into your scalp and leave it overnight, wash it the next morning. You will see the results after a month, continue it for 6 months for better results.

Note:  If you have oily hair, do not leave the oil overnight, apply for 2 – 3 hours and wash it.

2. Shampoo on MWF:

Adult woman washing head

Make a point to shampoo your hair thrice a week – on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Choose a shampoo suitable for the hair type.  Dry/oily/combination (dry scalp and oily roots/oily scalp and dry roots).

3. Wash your hair with milk:

Milk

No, it is not smelly at all. Make a point not to wash your hair without a hair mask. In today’s fast-moving life, most of us do not have the time to put hair mask on every alternate day, therefore the best and easy way is to apply milk.  Milk moisturises your hair, adds shine and helps to grow the hair long.

How To Do:

  • Take half a bowl of milk on a shampoo day, dip your fingers and take some milk in your palm and apply it into the scalp. Leave it for a few minutes.  Shampoo it well after a few minutes.

Note:  It will show results within a month. If you have curly hair, it will open up the curls and make it manageable in case hair is frizzy. If you think it gets too oily, then make it once or twice a week.

4. Avoid Using Hair Dryers After Shampooing:

After shampoo, wrap your hair in the towel for some time (2-3 minutes) so that hair do not remain dripping wet. Then, vigorously massage your scalp with fingers to dry your hair.  This will improve the blood circulation of the scalp which further will enhance hair growth and prevent hair fall.

Note:

Be a little careful while massaging the scalp, else the fingers will get tangled in the hair.

5.  Curd and Honey:

Honey

Curd and honey prevents hair loss, this hair mask can be used by all hair types once in a fortnight. Curd being good in magnesium and potassium, it prevents hair fall and honey adds lustre to hair.

How To Do:

  • Take 4 tablespoons of curd.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of honey.
  • Mix it well and apply for 15 minutes.
  • Shampoo your hair and see the result.

Note:

This mask can be used by all hair types – oily and dry.

6.  Drink Milk with Almond Oil:

Milk is full of proteins and a complete diet in itself and combined with almond oil which provides vitamin E, it is a complete food for hair and skin. Make a point to have a cup of warm milk with a teaspoon of almond oil before going to bed.

Note:  Avoid milk in case of allergy.

Essential Tips for Dry Hair Care

I have had dry hair since childhood, and then it turned wavy and beach waves like, after a shower it looks like beach waves; know more about my hair type and my current straightened hair look here so that you can know from which perspective I write this post; being a victim myself. Having dry hair has never stopped me from using any product or trying out any hair style, and I have been happy and have received a ton of compliments on my natural beach waves as well.

dry hair

Then started my tryst with flat irons; as usual I became obsessed and I own around three of them, one from Morphy Richards, another from Remington, and yet another from Philips. It turned my hair dryer in spite of the heat defence sprays but now some chemical smoothening was required to tame them in the humid environs I stay in. Lets see what makes hair dry basically:

The hair could be dry because it does not make enough oil at the scalp, the hair root does not have enough oil to lubricate hair as hair itself has no lubrication and secondly, the cuticle which is the protective layer of your hair had peeled away, it is not tightly layered any more, this very cuticle protects the hair from heat and sun and the like. Your cuticle damage could be a result of heat exposure from flat iron, curlers, blow drying, excessive use of drying shampoos, exposure to sun, heat, harsh dry winds, and use of chemicals for hair treatments like straightening and coloring and the like.

There are simple tips that could help you tame your hair; I am not saying your hair will be silky smooth like those ads you see where the hair is shiny black after a shampoo wash, but overtime and being nice to your hair will reap benefits in the long run. Lets see some tips you could adopt without any special time required:

shampoos

Use a gentle, low Ph shampoo, I know a lot of women who use baby shampoo and gentle shampoos, I am one of those women who love to shampoo everyday but a lot of constraints do not allow me to do the same. But keep it limited to twice a week, use a gentle shampoo and be gentle when you foam it up, use your fingertips inserted onto the scalp and run them round and round on the scalp, avoiding rubbing or tangling your hair, these is what I do, think of a salon wash and work your fingers in the same manner.

Use a shampoo meant for your hair, take out time on your shopping day to read the specifics on the bottle, meant for “dry rough hair” I never fall for the “shampoo+conditioner” tag, I pick up a nice shampoo meant for dry, lifeless dull hair” my hair might not be all, but I am sure the shampoo would help me seal the moisture in.If the ingredients on the label says Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone or silicone, avoid using the products. Remember that Dimethicone and Cyclomethicone are silicone derived emollients. Silicones coat your hair making it look shiny in the short term. However, they slowly start coating hair completely, creating a buildup and effectively sealing off moisture from reaching the cuticle.

Limit the use of hot tools, telling this from personal experience, I have a ton of curler and iron and a couple of dryers but I blow dry my hair twice a week to avoid catching cold and venturing out with wet hair. Now that you limit the shampoo to twice a week, using hot tools will be cut down as well.

blow dry

Use the lowest heat setting on your tool, I have a dryer which has a cool setting and a turbo setting (will review soon) and I cannot live without it, it is bulky and I use the lowest heat setting along with the turbo setting where in the fan moves fastest along with a moderate heat, so the drying is faster and the heat is minimal.

Coming to the dryer point, invest in a good hair dryer, look for a cool mode on the dryer so you can seal the cuticle after you are done setting your hair. My dryer has a turbo button and a cool button, two buttons for the speed and the heat, I combine all with the lowest heat setting, never do I use the highest heat setting.

Always blow dry your hair keeping the nozzle pointed down so that the cuticles are tamed, if you keep a safe distance from the blow dryer and do not stick the nozzle too close to the hair.

Condition your hair! You can experiment with some conditioners, not essentially from the same range, I use a mask like conditioner along with a shampoo for my hair, I leave it up to 5 minutes, not just a minute, take out time to massage the product into the hair not onto the scalp.

Rinse your hair finally with cold water, this helps to keep the cuticles smooth, somehow works like the cool button on your dryer.Never give your hair a final rinse of hot water,it will leave your hair even more dry and frizzy.

Go for regular trims, the split ends could be quite and eyesore, keep the ends in place and the rest of your hair will behave themselves as well.

Use a nourishing mask once a week, you could get a two in one product, like some masks can be used as a conditioner in the shower for 3 minutes and outside the shower, you could use it for 10 minutes with a shower cap on, and then rinse.

honey

Invest in good hair brushes, never ever use a metal tip brush, use a rounded tip brushes with a soft sponge base, flat brushes work best for me.Use wide tooth combs and work at the ends of hair first, never at the root, I love using flat brushes to detangle hair.

Use serums, I know they are not the best thing to do but they aid me in brushing my hair in one go,I use a pea sized amount only and rub the ends of the hair then the mid and I avoid using it around the base so that the grease and oily build could be delayed.

Try to oil your hair once a week. keep your Friday evenings for this, use lukewarm olive or coconut oil and work at the base of the hair in the scalp, rub it in the scalp gently and the oil would reach your hair strands on its own, leave it overnight but avoid it if you have acne. Wash off Saturday morning as part of your special weekend bath :P and get ready for your weekend outings.

Check your diet, Take regular dosage of B vitamins, Biotin, Inositol, Folic acid, and minerals (magnesium, sulfur and zinc). B vitamins are important for the health and growth of the hair. B vitamins are found in beans, peas, carrots, cauliflower, soy beans, nutritional yeast, bran, nuts and eggs. A regular dose of vitamin B-complex can be supplemented with the following additional B-vitamins for best results.Healthy fatty acids from fish like salmon and tuna are also important to improve hair texture and prevent dry, brittle hair.

egg mask

Use homemade masks for dry hair. Use egg yolks, leave them on the hair strands for 20 minutes use cold water to rinse off, You could use mayonnaise, honey or curd as well or avocado mashed as a hair mask as well.

Cover an protect your hair while in the sun or in the pool, Umbrellas and hats are your best friends, I keep a fold-able one in my hand bag always, no I don’t really use hats but if you can please do.

Never brush your hair when wet, try to dry your hair without any heat naturally and then use a wide tooth comb or a flat brush like I said.

Try and use a last rinse of lemon plus water or rinse your hair with coconut milk once in a while.

Cut down on spices, oily food and stress :P and up your quota of exercise and water and fruits and veggies.Needless to say!

Never tie your hair too tight, sleep with comfortable braids at night and try and use a satin or silk pillow cover(change often if you have acne) I followed the silk pillow cover since the day I got my hair straightend. This tip was from the salon lady.

Never rub your hair vigorously when drying your hair, always pat dry between a towel and use gentle strokes from top to bottom. IN the same line, avoid teasing and tangling your hair when doing hair styles, use hair inserts or bumpits maybe ? (I do the same, will review the bumpits soon hopefully)

silky hair

Lastly, gloss it up, for those days when you need to look good and if you have been good and adopted the above simple points in your daily hair care, you can use some shine sprays and tame down the frizz and the dry look with a hair serum. Once in a while you can cheat :P

These are essentially the little tips I have learnt and followed through the years, what are your tips to help our readers, little things come a long way when it comes to skin and hair care isn’t it ? :)

Beauty+Benefits+of+Almond+Oil

Most of the branded almond oils available in the market are preservative free and 100% natural, so you can be sure that it wouldn’t have any side effects.

Almond oil is best for skin and hair because it is extremely lightweight and gets quickly absorbed into the skin. Because of almond oil’s skin balancing properties, it helps skin cells to absorb moisture.  It might not be that great for oily skin, but for other skin types, it works!

As a Moisturizer:

Almond oil can be used as a face and body moisturizer and the effects are instant.  If you leave it overnight, you would wake up with soft and supple skin.  It clears out dry patches on the skin. You can use a few drops of almond oil with your regular body moisturizer for smooth skin.

For Healthy Hair:

Healthy black hair

It works wonderfully in treating dry hair making them strong, shiny, and soft.  Warm up a little almond oil and use it for hot oil hair massage, you would be amazed to see its effects on your tresses.  You can also add in coconut or olive oil for added benefits. Regular massage with almond oil helps in clearing up dandruff.

As an Eye Makeup Remover:

Almond oil is a good eye makeup remover and removes even waterproof eye makeup. The best thing is since its all natural, it would not hurt or irritate eyes.

For Healthy Eyelashes:

When you use it overnight on sparse eyelashes, in a few days, you would get long, healthy lashes.

For Thick Eyebrows:

Since almond oil aids hair growth, applying it over eyebrows, will give you thick brow hair.

To Treat Under Eye Circles:

Pure almond oil will help you get rid of dark under eye circles.  Using it regularly over a period of time, will help them fade away.  An effective product that makes use of the benefits of almonds is Aroma Magic Almond Under Eye Cream which is a very effective cream to get rid of dark circles.

In Homemade Scrubs:

Almond oil can be used as a base for homemade scrubs.  Her’s a simple one.  Take one tablespoon of almond oil and to it add 2 tablespoons of sugar granules.  You can increase the quantity of the oil and sugar granules if you intend to use it as a body scrub, keep the ratio 1:2 (one part oil and 2 parts sugar).  You can just add in a drop of your favourite essential oil for a relaxing experience.  Take the mixture in your hand (be quick or the sugar will melt completely into the oil) and apply it in a circular motion to your face or body.  After the scrubbing process, you will immediately note smooth and soft skin.  You can skip the moisturizer completely after using this scrub. Those who have extremely dry skin, can add one tablespoon of coconut oil too.

Beauty Benefits of Almond Oil 4

To Treat Skin Inflammation and Rashes:

It helps in abating itching and swelling and may be helpful in the treatment of eczema, however, if you are allergic to almond oil, you should totally avoid using it on your skin or ingesting it.

To Fade Away Surgical Scars:

Almond oil helps in fading away surgical scars to a great extent with regular use.

To Treat Cracked Heels and Cuticles:

Soft Hands

Since almond oil has emollient properties, it softens cuticles and rough skin of the feet.

For Soft Hands:

Use a few drops of almond oil with your regular hand cream before hitting the bed for soft hands.

Lip Moisturizer:

For soft lips, mix a few drops of honey in a bit of almond oil and then massage your lips with the mixture before bedtime and wake up to supple and smooth lips.

Body Massage Oil:

Beauty Benefits of Almond Oil 2

Since almond oil keeps body warm, it can be used in winters as body massage oil. As a body massage oil, it not only does it make the skin soft and smooth, it also keeps the body warm.

Almond oil therefore is a miracle oil, full of antioxidants, nutrients, and essential fatty acids that helps in keeping skin and hair healthy. Do include it in your beauty regime.

Schwarzkopf Supersoft Repair and Care Coconut Conditioner

After the disaster , which was Boots honey oatmeal conditioner , I was on the look out for a good conditioner. And I came across Schwarzkopf Supersoft Repair and Care Coconut Conditioner.

What the company claims:

• Supersoft Repair & Care Coconut Conditioner
• For dry & damaged hair
• Smoothes and nourishes the hair structure
• Strengthens the hair by intensively caring down to the tips
• For 3 x better combability and visibly regenerated, healthy hair full of shine

Schwarzkopf Supersoft Repair and Care Coconut Conditioner

Price :

Oh now I was searching for a good conditioner and came across this one online.Well, pack of 3 is priced at £6.09 on amazon and then I saw it online in Indian websites for close 500 So I was a little skeptical because of I know this range is one of the budget friendly ones from Schwarzkopf . But guess what I found it in a local super market for Rs. 185. So Rs. 185 for 200 ml  (O I found that this range is priced between 150 – 200 in the local stores )

My Take on Schwarzkopf Supersoft Repair and Care Coconut Conditioner:

The boots conditioner was drying my hair real bad and I tried a few other brands after that but nothing really worked . Now what attracted me to this one was it very clearly says dry and damaged hair and also the fact that its from Schwarzkopf . The conditioner is creamy has thick consistency . Now the first thing you notice is the smell :) /ohh I love love the smell. It smells very coconutty and being a malayali I love anything with coconut . But the smell isn’t over powering or irritating. And after hair wash it just a very mild smell and stays for maybe an hour or so . The conditioner spreads easily and you require very little. After rinsing my hair I felt that it was super soft to touch and detangled .

It mad my hair super soft , it didn’t dry my hair at all. My hair particularly at the ends were soft and it was very smooth as well / I love this conditioner because it pretty much did everything it claimed.

Schwarzkopf Supersoft Repair and Care Coconut Conditioner (4)

Pros of Schwarzkopf Supersoft Repair and Care Coconut Conditioner:

  • It makes your hair soft and smooth.
  • My hair was really really dry and it took care of that.
  • It didn’t make my hair flat (like I have seen usually when I use hair products which is meant for dry hair it kind of makes my hair flat and kills the volume ).
  • Its cheap just 185.
  • My hair was well-behaved even the next day.

Schwarzkopf Supersoft Repair and Care Coconut Conditioner (3)

Cons of Schwarzkopf Supersoft Repair and Care Coconut Conditioner:

  • Well availability :(
  • And I guess if you don’t like the smell of coconut then.

Clear Ultra Shea Smooth & Nourish Conditioner (3)

My Experience with Clear Ultra Shea Smooth & Nourish Conditioner:

I am not very pleased with this conditioner. This product does smoothes out the hair and detangles it making it more manageable with lesser frizz. but it also made my hair heavy and limp. My hair is fine, thin and dry so if yours is thick, coarse, or oily you may have an entirely different experience. It does not leave hair sticky or greasy.
Clear Ultra Shea Smooth & Nourish Conditioner (8)

If you look at the ingredients list you will find that it is full of chemicals and silicones. It even has a high concentration of Cetearyl Alcohol which is next to Water which can make the hair drier in long run. But it also contains numerous amounts of oils such as Soybean, Palm, Sunflower oils etc which may counter effect the drying nature of the alcohol.

The conditioner is very thick and rich in consistency but it does spread well. It is filled with tiny gold specks which is very pretty to look at even if they are completely useless. It has a very strong overpowering scent which I am not a fan of. It has given me headaches on some days.
I love the packaging. It is very sleek ,practical and sturdy. It is also very affordable as compared to other products in the market. Overall, I like the shampoos of this particular brand but am not a fan of their conditioners. Will not recommend if you have fine hair or if you have a sensitive nose.

Clear Ultra Shea Smooth & Nourish Conditioner (5)

Pros of Clear Ultra Shea Smooth & Nourish Conditioner:

• Makes hair manageable and less frizzy which may be due to the Silicones.
• Sleek and sturdy Packaging
• Thick and rich consistency which is easy to spread
• Contains loads of oils

Clear Ultra Shea Smooth & Nourish Conditioner (9)

Cons of Clear Ultra Shea Smooth & Nourish Conditioner:

• Makes hair heavy
• Difficult to rinse out completely
• Very strong overpowering scent
• Filled with Chemicals and Silicones.

Osmo Berber Oil Mask Restoration Therapy with Argan Oil Review

Hello Pretty Ladies!!

All of us have heard about the benefits of oils for our hair and body.  Argan oil is considered the liquid gold by some, oh well, it is chosen by all high-end brands and some companies have even gone to the extent of reformulating their products just so that they can include Argan oil in it. So, I am going to talk about a product, which I came across because a friend of mine uses it, and wanted me to try it. We went shopping and we got it.

Osmo+Berber+Oil+Mask+Restoration+Therapy+with+Argan+Oil+Review

Product Description:

  • Unique combination of oils including Argan, Avocado and Olive.
  • Replenishes elasticity and bounce.
  • Leaves hair smooth and silky for ease of styling.
  • Use individually for an indulgent experience or in collaboration with Berber Oil Shampoo for outstanding results.
  • Helps strengthen and repair even the most fragile of locks.

Osmo Berber Oil Mask Restoration Therapy with Argan Oil 2

How To Use:

After shampooing, apply Osmo Berber Oil Mask Restoration Therapy with Argan Oil from root to tip. Leave for 1 minute for a daily condition or for 4-5 minutes for a weekly treatment. Alternatively, before shampooing, dampen hair and work mask through in sections. Rinse well and follow with Rejuvenating Shampoo.  Osmo Berber Oil Mask Restoration Therapy with Argan Oil is suitable for all hair types.

Price:

It was around 3 or 4 pounds for 75 ml.

Osmo Berber Oil Mask Restoration Therapy with Argan Oil 3

My Experience with Osmo Berber Oil Mask Restoration Therapy with Argan Oil:

So, this comes in a tube packaging as you can see. There was a 200 ml tube available, but I wanted to try this out first because, well I am pretty happy with my Macadamia Deep Repair Masque. I feel that the tube looks really pretty and gives you that tropical therapy like feeling :D

The consistency of the product is like a thick paste, but it is really smooth and easily spreads on the hair. The amount required per usage is around two coin sized amount for Atika’s length of hair :D

It smells really fruity and herbal. The smell is not very overpowering. It lingers on for some time, but is not something that will bother you. In fact, I enjoy subtle scent in my hair after I have washed my hair.

Osmo Berber Oil Mask Restoration Therapy with Argan Oil 4

I leave it on for 10-15 minutes or more depending on what I have to do that day and oh boy, I have been loving this so much.  Though this is like a little brother to my Macadamia masque, I will still say this has made a permanent place in my bathroom. This makes my hair so silky and smooth. It does not weigh my hair down at all. It does help in improving the condition of dried out hair ends. The only reason why I consider it a little less than macadamia one is that it doesn’t impart as much shine as the former does.

I have even tried it on “his” hair and well you know boys, they will never have something like this on for more than 5 minutes. I find that his hair especially soaked all the goodness in 5 minutes. It is especially good as a treatment before shampooing as I have tried doing that and it gives me amazing results.

Pros of Osmo Berber Oil Mask Restoration Therapy with Argan Oil:

  • Convenient tube packaging.
  • Easy on the application part.
  • Makes hair really soft and smooth.
  • Can be used before or after shampooing.
  • The silkiness it imparts deserves a special mention.
  • Very affordable.
  • Lasts a pretty long time.

Cons of Osmo Berber Oil Mask Restoration Therapy with Argan Oil:

  • Not easily available in India.

L’oreal Professional Serie Expert Volume Expand Masque

Hello Ladies,

Today I am introducing you to my miracle product. I was looking for a light nourishing hair mask because my hair is baby fine, dry at ends and oily at scalp. It is a herculean task to find a good product for such kind of hair type. I am glad that I found one when I was having a look Toni n Guy Salon’s shelf. So let’s see how it went on my hair.

L’oreal Professional Serie Expert Volume Expand Masque

Price and Quantity:

INR 600 for 200 ml

Ingredients:

L’oreal Professional Serie Expert Volume Expand Masque

Product Description:

• L’Oreal ProfessionnelSerie Expert Volume Expand Masque: The masque is perfect if you want to add volume to your hair without weighing it down
• It nourishes and moisturizes hair and leaves the hair looking smooth and shiny
• The masque contains ingredients that are formulated to add volume to your hair and give you thick, beautiful locks

Packaging

It comes in a green coloured tub packaging. Green is the colour given to the Volume series by L’oreal. Some of you may find it very messy using the masque from a tub but for me it is a pro because all of the product can be used from the tub. One can’t travel with such a huge bottle so there’s no point of wishing the packaging to get better than this. :P

L’oreal Professional Serie Expert Volume Expand Masque (6)

My Experience with L’oreal Professional serie Expert Volume Expand Masque:

I have very fine hair as I explained earlier so I wanted a masque which doesn’t weigh down my hair and still nourish them appropriately and of-course volume was my biggest concern. I wanted to have a tad little extra volume in my hair. The masque is pale green in colour and the consistency is somewhat like a gel, I was extremely happy to see that because all creamy masques and conditioners weigh down my pretty hair. It has a herbal kin d of smell which may bother sensitive noses. Before using the masque I shampooed my hair with KerastaseVolumactive Shampoo which I’ll be reviewing very soon. After that I applied the masque and waited for 2-3 minutes and then rinsed it off. The fragrance vanished after rinsing. My hair felt very soft after they dried. And yes it didn’t weigh down my hair added volume instead. The effect lasted on my hair for almost 2 days which is the first time that I didn’t feel a need of shampooing my hair every day. I am very pleased with the product overall.
L’oreal Professional Serie Expert Volume Expand Masque (3)

Pro’s of L’oreal Professional serie Expert Volume Expand Masque:

• Nice consistency neither too creamy nor dry
• Makes hair feel very soft
• Good packaging
• Adds volume to the hair
• The effect lasts almost 2 days on oily hair
• Best for fine and limp hair
• Does what it claims
L’oreal Professional Serie Expert Volume Expand Masque (5)

Con’s of L’oreal Professional serie Expert Volume Expand Masque:

• May not be suitable for extremely dry hair.
• Price may be a con for some.
• Herbal fragrance.

Do I recommend L’oreal Professional Serie Expert Volume Expand Masque?

If you have hair like mine then go grab this one. It will not disappoint you guys.
